Born in Brazil and trained at the country's top academy from age 15, ranked No. 1 nationally in juniors. Played one professional ATP season, with a career-best win over the world No. 63. Came to the US at 22 and won the 2008 NAIA Nationals and Super Bowl, the combined champion of all four collegiate divisions.
Since then, seven summers coaching in the Hamptons and full-time work with Desirae Krawczyk before her run to WTA doubles No. 7. Based in Orange County for over a decade, now at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club.
